Turn one idea into a short video draft

Written for creators and side hustlers. No AI experience needed.

A short video does not need to explain everything. Choose one useful point and shots you can make with what you have.

Start here

  1. Write the point you want the viewer to remember. List facts you have checked.
  2. Say what you can film and whether you want to appear on camera.
  3. Read the script aloud and time it yourself. Cut anything stiff or hard to say.

Three prompts you can use

Copy a prompt into your chat tool and replace the [blanks]. Check each reply before using it.

1. Make a first draft

Draft a short video about [one point] for [audience]. Facts: [checked notes]. I can film [shots]. Aim for [length], but use easy spoken sentences. Put lines beside simple shot ideas. Do not invent quotes, statistics, results, or claims.

2. Make it fit your life

My read-through took too long. Cut the script while keeping [main point]. Use only shots I can film at [general place]. Remove extra setup and a second ending.

3. Check before you use it

Check the spoken lines for claims that need proof and words that may sound stiff aloud. Flag them for me. Do not promise that the video will get views.

Mistake most beginners make

Trying to fit a whole topic into a short clip and trusting the tool’s timing estimate.

One last check

Time your own read-through. Check permissions for anything or anyone visible in the shots.
