Turn messy voice-note words into a clean checklist

Written for creators and side hustlers. No AI experience needed.

You do not need polished notes. Start with a transcript from a tool you already use, or type the rough words yourself. This exercise works with text; it does not require an audio upload.

Start here

  1. Read the transcript and remove private names, contact details, and anything you do not have permission to share.
  2. Ask for tasks, open questions, and decisions in separate lists.
  3. Check the list against your notes and assign owners or deadlines yourself.

Three prompts you can use

Copy a prompt into your chat tool and replace the [blanks]. Check each reply before using it.

1. Make a first draft

Turn these rough voice-note words into a checklist: [cleaned transcript or typed notes]. Separate actions, questions, and decisions. Use one action per line. Keep only facts in my notes. Mark unknown owners or dates “not set.”

2. Make it fit your life

Split [large task] into small next steps. Keep any stated deadline, but do not invent one. Put steps that need an answer first in a waiting list.

3. Check before you use it

Compare the checklist with my original notes. Did you add a task, person, or date? Show anything that was inferred so I can decide whether to keep it.

Mistake most beginners make

Assuming a rough transcript is accurate, then treating a guessed name or date as a fact.

One last check

Check important words against the original recording yourself. Get permission before sharing another person’s speech.
