Practice an interview one question at a time
Written for people taking their next step at work. No AI experience needed.
Practice is a chance to find your words. Use a chat as a rehearsal partner, then decide which feedback helps you sound clear and truthful.
Start here
- Name the role in general terms. Keep private company questions and recruiter details out.
- Ask for one question, answer in your own words, and wait for feedback.
- Use your real examples. Practice again without memorizing a made-up story.
Three prompts you can use
Copy a prompt into your chat tool and replace the [blanks]. Check each reply before using it.
1. Make a first draft
Help me practice for a [role] interview. Ask one question at a time and wait for my answer. Then give kind feedback on clarity and ask what real detail I can add. Do not invent experience or promise an outcome.
2. Make it fit your life
Help me shorten my answer while keeping these true details: [details]. Suggest a clearer order. Do not add a result or skill I did not mention.
3. Check before you use it
Ask a follow-up about the example I just gave. If my answer sounds vague, ask me for evidence rather than writing a story for me.
Mistake most beginners make
Learning a perfect-sounding answer that does not match your own experience.
One last check
The tool does not know the employer’s actual interview plan. Use practice to prepare, not to predict the result.
