Describe your real experience clearly on a resume
Written for people taking their next step at work. No AI experience needed.
Clear wording can help you explain what you already know. The tool should not add a skill, job, number, or result you cannot stand behind.
Start here
- List work you have actually done, using general job labels and no private employer or customer details.
- Paste the public job description if you are allowed to use it, without application login details.
- Check every bullet and keep only words you can explain in an interview.
Three prompts you can use
Copy a prompt into your chat tool and replace the [blanks]. Check each reply before using it.
1. Make a first draft
Turn my real experience into clear resume bullets for [role]. Notes: [tasks and skills I actually used]. Job needs: [public description]. Use plain words. Do not invent numbers, qualifications, dates, titles, or outcomes. Ask questions where evidence is missing.
2. Make it fit your life
Make these bullets more specific using only these extra facts: [checked facts]. Keep each bullet short. Remove wording I could not explain to an interviewer.
3. Check before you use it
Compare each bullet with my notes. Mark any claim not supported by them. List questions I should answer before using this resume.
Mistake most beginners make
Keeping a polished claim because it sounds good even though it did not happen.
